National Rifle Association Home Firearms Safety Course

This is a Non-Shooting Course.

This is a minimum four-hour course that is conducted in the classroom only. The course teaches students the basic knowledge and skills that enable them to explain the attitude necessary for safe handling and storage of firearms/ammunition in the home. For participating in the course, students receive the NRA Home Firearms Safety Handbook, NRA Gun Safety Rules brochure, Basic Firearm Training Program brochure, and a successful course completion certificate.

Skills Learned:

Students will learn the NRA’s three rules for safe gun handling; common causes of firearms accidents; parts of a firearm; ammunition parts and function; proper cleaning procedures; how to safely store firearms in the home; learn the value of participating in the shooting sports.

  1. Howdy just wanted to give you a quick heads up. The text in your article seem to be running off the screen in Ie. I’m not sure if this is a formatting issue or something to do with web browser compatibility but I figured I’d post to let you know. The style and design look great though!     1. Thank you for your kind words. They mean everything to us. I am glad that you brought that to our attention. I am not sure what the problem is, but it seems to be only with Internet Explorer. We are going to look into with Word Press to shed some light on it and hopefully fix it so there are not anymore problems viewing the site. Again, thank you for your input and letting us know.
