ANJRPC WINS TEMPORARY RESTRAINING ORDER

ASSOCIATION OF NEW JERSEY RIFLE AND PISTOL CLUB LAWSUIT REQUESTING TEMPORARY RESTRAINING ORDER AGAINST CARRY KILLER LAW:

The Association of New Jersey Rifle and Pistol Clubs filed a lawsuit against the State of New Jersey regarding the “Carry Killer” laws that the State of New Jersey is trying to enact that would basically make it illegal to carry a concealed firearm in most areas except your own home/property. This lawsuit was filed in conjunction with other lawsuits filed by others against the state to prevent the inactment of the “carry killer” laws. The “carry killer” laws define what the state considers as “sensitive places” that exclude citizens from carrying a concealed firearm legally.

In a United States District Court of New Jersey decision released on January 12, 2023, the opinion grants the Temporary Restraing Order against the State of New Jersey from implementing some of the “carry killer” laws pending the outcome of the lawsuit. This is a victory for every gun owner and Second Amendment supporter in the State of New Jersey.
